Course Objectives

  1. Introduce Jungian Sandplay therapy as a non-verbal play therapy.
  2. Become familiar with the basic tools and equipment involved in the Sandplay therapy process.
  3. Identify the procedures involved in Sandplay therapy.
  4. Explore the role of the therapist in Sandplay therapy.
  5. Discuss the Jungian theory that underlies Sandplay therapy.
  6. Introduce the concept of the symbol.
  7. Illustrate these concepts with sandplay casework.
